Statement of
Essential Beliefs

Because the Christian religion includes so many denominations, we felt it would be valuable to list beliefs we consider essential in determining how well a potential responder fits with the intended mission of this ministry.

To be on the responder panel you must believe the following:

• The world and all the universe was created by God.
• The Bible is the Word of God and is the basis for a Christian teaching and living.
• Mankind is sinful by nature. All people sin. No one is without sin.
• The result of sin is eternal separation from God.
• No one can, by their own efforts be "good enough" to be found righteous. Good, moral living falls short of God's perfect standard.
• God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to make a way for man to be forgiven of sin and restored into a relationship with God.
• Jesus Christ was born of Mary, a virgin, lived a sinless life on earth, was crucified and died, rose from the dead, and now lives.
• People are forgiven of sin and restored to a relationship with God by faith. Through faith, Jesus Christ's death on the cross is accounted payment for the sins of those who believe.
